Kevin Campbell, the former Arsenal and Everton striker, has passed away at the age of 54 after falling seriously ill. Campbell was a title winner with the Gunners and a hero at Goodison Park after saving the Toffees from relegation in 1999.

Campbell had been in hospital after being taken ill earlier this month. He had been battling an illness for some time, but his death has still come as a shock to the football world.

Campbell was a popular figure at both Arsenal and Everton. He was a key member of the Arsenal team that won the Premier League title in 1997-98, and he also played in the Champions League for the Gunners.

After leaving Arsenal, Campbell joined Everton in 1999 and quickly became a fan favorite. He scored the goal that kept the Toffees in the Premier League that season, and he went on to make over 100 appearances for the club.

Campbell retired from playing in 2006 and went on to work as a coach and pundit. He was a regular guest on Sky Sports and was also a columnist for The Daily Mirror.
